Professor Elspeth Tilley of Massey University has just concluded a very busy and happy two-month Visiting Research Fellowship at New Zealand Centre, PKU. Professor Tilley was the first Massey Fellow to stay at PKU for two months after the pandemic, and she enjoyed a warm welcome, lots of opportunities, and an extremely productive time.

The New Zealand Centre proudly announces the successful conclusion of the English course “Visual Communication for a Global World” taught by the inaugural “Rewi Alley Professor” Professor Laurence Simmons in the International Summer School of Peking University. Over the course of two weeks, Prof. Simmons equipped 24 diverse students from both home and abroad with insight and essential skills in visual analysis and communication, fostering their visual literacy and analytical capabilities from the perspective of New Zealand academic stuides.

During his official visit to China from June 25 to 30, 2023, His Excellency Chris Hipkins Prime Minister of New Zealand visited Peking University with a delegation of ministers and prominent officials and addressed to representatives of Peking University faculty and students on the afternoon of 28 June. This is His Excellency Chris Hipkins’s second visit to Peking University. The first one was in 2018, when he was Minister of Education, New Zealand.
