New Zealand China Friendship Society (NZCFS) President David Bromwich visited the New Zealand Centre, and discussed the Society's new youth initiative with New Zealand youth leaders over dinner at Peking University. Youth leaders were strongly encouraged to coordinate amongst one another to form an effective network for the betterment of China-New Zealand relations.

| 21/03/2014-Contributing to the Sino-New Zealand Relationship Through Innovations in Health Science
Dr. Margot Skinner visited Peking University as part of the New Zealand Centre Visiting Fellowship initiative, hosted by the Peking University First Hospital Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, delivering lectures on non-communicable disease, and exploring future possibilities for establishing a professional exchange programme for physiotherapy between the University of Otago and Peking University.

| 28/09/2013-The New Zealand Centre Attends the 10th Annual Peking University Culture Festival
With kind support from the Peking University International Culture Festival Committee the New Zealand Centre was able to assist with preparations for 'Booth New Zealand' at the 10th Annual Culture Festival. Several New Zealand and Chinese students helped to dish out New Zealand cheese, chocolates, and pizza to a crowd of students, academic staff, and casual visitors all eager to learn about New Zealand history and culture.
