Dr Amjed Tahir Collaborates with His Colleagues at PKU
01/12/2019 – NZC is proud to receive a 2019 visiting fellow Dr Amjed Tahir, Lecturer at Massey University School of Engineering and Advanced Technology for his two-week research collaboration with Professor Zhang Lu of the School of Electronics Engineering and Computer Science at Peking University.

This 2019 visit also seeks to provide a strong platform for solid research collaboration between Massey Software Engineering Group and Prof Zhang’s group at the Institute of Software at PKU. Dr Amjed’s field of research aligns with the economic agendas of both New Zealand and China, as IT and software development in both countries has large and broad impacts across growth in industries from precision agriculture to medical science to mobile phones and gaming. A promising research collaboration is now underway, which also involves postgraduate students from both ends, and may lead to future joint publications.

Before his departure, Dr Tahir visited the New Zealand Centre with his two doctorate students and expressed their gratitude for the assistance that they had received from the Centre during their visit. |
