Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU) hosted a New Zealand Tent for their annual International Culture Festival - local Kiwi student volunteers and the New Zealand Centre came along to help, providing information about New Zealand history, culture, and education opportunities, as well as the opportunity to try New Zealand cheese and crackers. New Zealand Centre mascot Arana the Kiwi was also in attendance.

| 26/04/2014-The Second Collaboration between Peking University and the New Zealand Court Theatre
In March and April of 2014 more than sixty PKU students from different schools, colleges, and departments will rehearse and perform Shakespeare’s "A Midsummer Night's Dream" in the new theatre hall of the School of Foreign Languages, Peking University. Several students will go on to perform at Canterbury University in New Zealand in May 2014.

The ANZAC Day Dawn Service for 2014 was held at the Australian Embassy in Sanlitun, Beijing, attended by Australian Ambassador HE Ms Frances Adamson, New Zealand Ambassador HE Mr Carl Worker, and Turkish Ambassador HE Mrs Bengdu Yigitguden. The event was attended by military attaches from more than two dozen countries, including China's Peoples' Liberation Army, to pay respects to the fallen.

Dr Lanteigne, Chair of Victoria University's China Research Center and senior lecturer of the History Department, provided a short lecture series on China's international relations in the Pacific Arena and the Arctic Circle, including “China and the South Pacific: Soft Balancing?” with assistance from the Peking University School of International Studies and the New Zealand Centre.
