02/06/2016 – Senior Deputy Vice Chancellor Professor Alister Jones visited Peking University as part of a University of Waikato delegation including Senior Regional Manager for East Asia Mulan Mu, and the International Market Manager for China Yiming Hu. On 2nd June, 2016, the New Zealand Centre at Peking University welcomed the the University of Waikato delegation headed by Senior Deputy Vice Chancellor Prof. Alister Jones. Other members included Senior Regional Manager for East Asia Mulan Mu, and the International Market Manager for China Yiming Hu. The Centre Director Prof. Liu Shusen and Associate Prof. Liu Hongzhong welcomed the guests at the New Zealand Centre office and introduced Peking University and the Centre. The University of Waikato team also introduced their university and its strengths and discussed possible cooperation between the two universities.

Another key discussion topic was the upcoming summer program the University of Waikato will organise for PKU students. Possible contents including times, courses, and activities were discussed. The New Zealand Centre was delighted to host Prof. Alister Jones and look forward to further cooperation between Peking University and the University of Waikato.
